Welcome to the March 2022 issue of ev0ke: witchcraft*paganism*lifestyle. We have all kinds of goodies for you this month!
First up, welcome to the brand new column, ev0king the Moon. Every month, an author from Moon Books will discuss topics ranging from climate change to the Good Neighbors to traditional witchcraft. Up first is Rachel Patterson with “Moon Magic.”
Then it’s on to Fiction, where we have part seventeen of Rebecca Buchanan’s serialized “The Necromancer’s Guide to Not Dying While Saving the World (And Falling in Love).” In Interviews, we sit down with Julie Brett, author of Australian Druidry; Morgan Daimler, author of Pagan Portals: Aos Sidhe; Melusine Draco, author of The Witch’s Book of Simples; Trevor Greenfield, editor of Naming the God; and Angela Paine, author of Healing Plants of Greek Mythology. Then in Reviews, we look at The Mermaid of Seattle by Heather Blackwood, and Spells and Sensibility by KL Noone and KS Murphy.
Moving to the Members Only section — in Essays, Ashley Nicole Hunter offers “Protection Magic for Uncertain Times” and part three of her on-going series, “The Twelve Sacred Trees of North America: Flowering Dogwood.” In Fiction, Rebecca Buchanan has the myth-inspired fairy tale, “The Bull-Child of Bhennach.” And in Lifestyle, Ashley Nicole Hunter looks at “Three Week Witchcraft.”
As always, please leave any comments or questions, or feel free to email us at ev0kepublication@gmail.com.
