Happy June! Welcome to ev0ke’s Pride issue! We have lots of goodies for you right away, with more to come in the middle of the month!
First up is our specially curated Pride Playlist. Next, in Art, we have brand new, free works created by Ashley Nicole Hunter: Apollo, Artemis, Athena, Dionysus, and Poseidon. Then in the Artist Spotlight segment, we take a look at the Pride Knights Playing Cards, while the Kickstarter Spotlight focuses on The Lovers from Studio Heartbreak. December Fields-Bryant returns with a new ev0king the Green column, this time looking at the history, lore, and magic of St. John’s Wort. And in ev0king the Moon, Krystina Sypniewski delves into the nature of dreams. In the Lifestyle section, Ashley Nicole Hunter offers up the latest in her Writer’s Oracle Deck series, this time focused on LGTBQIA+ authors and activists, while in Reviews we take a look at Centaur and Sensibility by Quenby Olson and Ill Tidings by Blaze Ward.
Then it’s on to the Members Only section! Reverend Bill Duvendack brings us the latest in his Celestial Beacon series, while Rebecca Buchanan’s Faith and Fairy Tales column looks into both queer tales and how to queer such tales. Then in Fiction we have part one of the newest Painted Words, a gay fairy tale romance entitled “In the Tomb of Broken Wonders.”
We’ll be back in the middle of the month with our regular columns, more reviews, interviews, the conclusion of “In the Tomb of Broken Wonders,” and much more!
